About LRA
Background – the early days

The LRA story began with the discovery of the limitations that political structure put on local government. This came to a head in 1980, and LRA's early history runs remarkably parallel to events surfacing across the nation during the 1980s and 1990s. The potted history below is dedicated to the founders, workers, ordinary members, and even our sometime critics -- to everyone has played a part in the growth of LRA.
