We're
very sorry our suppliers, Essex Farmers Markets, had to cancel the
market on 10 December – we were looking forward to seeing residents
& visitors, and to carols from some of the Roding Players.
The next regular High Road market will be on Sunday January 14th.
14 October 2017
Our
organisers (Essex Farmers Markets) have done a great job in
revitalising the market, now on the second Sunday of each month, on
Centric Parade, High Road, Loughton. We now have a full market
with a wide variety of stalls, and we aim to further increase the
number of produce stalls in the coming months
23 August 2017 LRA’s Farmers Markets change to second Sundays! LRA’s Farmers Market on Centric Parade, High Road Now on the second Sunday of each month! Next market Sunday September 10th 9am – 2pm
For
many years LRA has arranged the popular Farmers Markets on the first
Sunday of each month, on Centric Parade, High Road, Loughton.
For
reasons beyond our control, we have had to change the firm who looks
after the markets for us – it will now be Essex Farmers Markets.
Because of this, we have also to change the markets to the second
Sunday of each month, starting on September 10th.
LRA will still be there each month.
As usual, our Councillors will be available to talk to residents, and we will have our second-hand-book stall.
We
look forward to meeting residents at the market on September 10th. We
will be on hand on the High Road on September 3rd to let people know
what’s happening.
Notes 1. For many years, Hughmark
International have done an excellent job of organising our markets.
However, they can no longer supply the gazebos to cover the stalls each
month, and we have switched to Essex Farmers Markets. The organisers deal with the stall-holders, and provide the gazebos. 2. Markets are held every month, except for January, and there is usually an extra market shortly before Christmas each year. 3. We also provide two free stalls each month for local charities and voluntary organisations.
3 July 2017 LRA's Farmers Markets
The firm that runs our markets weren’t able to bring
gazebos and tables this month, because their HGV driver left suddenly
without notice. The July market ran, but without some of the regular
stalls.
We are doing our best to keep the market running, and
hope to have a full range of stalls on August 6th. We’re asking
residents – and traders – to bear with us while we get it sorted out.
We’ll be keeping every-one updated (we have regular email bulletins to members, and any-one can follow us on Twitter or Facebook. (Updates to this page can take a bit longer than the social media).
