Election 2024

Residents voted convincingly for LRA candidates for Loughton Town Council. They also voted in 13 LRA candidates for District Council.  Results are on the District Council website for the Town Council and District Council.

We thank the people of Loughton and Buckhurst Hill East who voted for LRA candidates.  There were 26,738 crosses next to the LRA Logo on Ballot Papers - not bad for a non-political residents association.  These voters are concerned people, anxious to defend the amenities of the locality.  Since the Boundary Commission's redrawing of wards, LRA is privileged to represent part of Buckhurst Hill adjoining Loughton and east of the railway.  Next year, it looks as if we will have to do the same for Buckhurst Hill West.

Thank you again.

Update 21 May 2024
The (delayed) election results for the Town Council wards of Loughton Broadway and Loughton Debden have been declared, with three further LRA candidates elected as Town Cllrs. Full details here

LRA is 100% run by volunteers.  But we need many more people to help make LRA sustainable and successful in future.  Please email us or call 020 8508 4457 or 020 8508 2361 if you can support us.

What ward am I in?
There are some changes to the names and boundaries of wards locally.
Your Poll Card (posted to you earlier this year) tells you which ward you are in. (The names of the wards you are in for Town and District Councils could be different.)
Voter ID
If voting in person at the May elections, remember you will need to show one form of photo ID. More. Unless you bring photo ID or a Voter Authority Certificate to the polling station, you will not be able to vote.
